Grauate School of Natural and Applied Sciences at Nigde University was founded on July 11, 1992 and commenced education in the academic year of 1994-1995. The School continues to train MSc and PhD students at the following 11 departments: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Electric and Electronics Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering and Science Education. In addition PhD programs are offered to students at the following 6 departments Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Geological Engineering and Electric and Electronics Engineering.
Currently there are 253 students in total in the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Science, Engineering and Technology, 237 of these students are enrolled in MSc programs and 16 of them in PhD programs.
Graduate education in our School, starting in October and in March as Fall and Spring Terms, is comprised of 14 weeks. MSc programmes consist of 4-6 terms and PhD programmes 8-10 terms.
The School is able to provide the computer support which is necessary for researches through the University Information Processing Centre at the campus and micro-computers at the departments. After completing their programmes , our students receive the ability of conducting research, analysis, interpretation and presentation skills with the capability of pursuing actual science and technology trends and achieving innovation in application. They are also offered the opportunity to develop their individual and social skills by taking part in club activities and social and artistic activities such as theatre, sports, music, etc.
