General Information
  • Grauate School of Natural and Applied Sciences at Nigde University (The Institute) was founded through Act No. 3837 of the Turkish Parliament on July 3, 1992 and commenced education in the academic year of 1994-1995.
  • The Institute has 11 academic departments with MSc and PhD programs:
> Civil Engineering (MSc and PhD)
> Electrical and Electronics Engineering (MSc and PhD)
> Environmental Engineering (MSc)
> Geological Engineering (MSc and PhD)
> Mechanical Engineering (MSc and PhD)
> Mining Engineering (MSc)
> Biology (MSc and PhD)
> Chemistry (MSc and PhD)
> Mathematics (MSc and PhD)
> Physics (MSc and PhD)
> Science Education (MSc)
  • Currently there are 283 students in total in the Graduate School off Natural and Applied Sciences, 257 of these students are enrolled in MSc programs and 26 of them in PhD programs.
     
  • Graduate education in our Institute, starting in October and in February as Fall and Spring Terms, is comprised of 14 weeks. MSc progams consist of 4-6 terms and PhD programs 8-10 terms.
     
  • In the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, there are 7 administrative personnel.
     
  • The Institute is able to provide the computer support necessary for researches through the University Information Processing Centre at the campus and computers at the departments. As our students ability to conduct research, analysis, interpretation and presentation skills are promoted, they are also offered the opportunity to develop their individual and social skills by encouraging them to take part in club activities and social and artistic activities such as theatre, sport, music, etc.
