Mission
Our mission as Nigde University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, department of civil engineering is; for undergraduate students, to give civil engineering training to the degree that our students will have basic engineering knowledge along with design and application skills and also to the degree that they will become focused on self-improving processes and will also become an engineer at both national and international levels; for master’s degree (graduate) students, along with these purposes, to educate them so that they become civil engineers and scientists expert in their subjects and to become pioneers in the efforts to improve the quality of building sector to the international standards, to give priority to research and development, to set up the awareness of standards and regulations and to make the professional ethics dominant. In addition, our mission is to make contribution to constructing safe and contemporary living conditions for the society, to spreading scientific thought and environmental awareness in society, to developing culture of social cooperation and solidarity, to providing sustainable development and therefore to enhancing the quality of life.

Vision
Our vision is to act as a pioneer in the education of undergraduate and graduate (master’s degree) of civil engineering and in the production of science and technology and in the field of research and development and practice both in our country and in the world and correspondingly to contribute to social welfare and development.
