Niğde University was established in accordance with additional article 22nd of Law No 3837 of July 3rd,1992 adopted and amended the decree law no 41 and concerning law no 2809 and the amendment of the decree law 78 and 190 about The Higher Education Council. The Mechanical Engineering Department was established with the same law within the The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, and started education in 1995 with the aim of meeting the requirements of qualified human labor force that public and private sector needs and raising the scientific force of the country.
