Dear Colleagues, Peers and Students,

Our Vocational school aims to raise qualified students, who could be adapted themselves to changing scientific and social conditions, who adopt the principles of lifelong learning and self-renovation, who uphold ethical and humanistic values, and to develop new programs which will be needed by health sector. In realising those aims, it is important that our academic and administrative staff act with the feelings of responsibility, institutional identification, cooperation and solidarity.

Doubtless that endowing students with occupational knowledge and skills is very important. However, raising “good person” and “good citizen”, who acts, on the basis of ethical values, with the feelings of responsibility toward others, society and humanity, who has a developed sense of justice, who is ready to cooperate in relation to public issues, is not less important than endowing them with occupational skills. And in realising this goal, it is clear how important the behaviour and attitude of academic and administrative staff as role models are.

Our dear students, who are the reason of our institutional existence, must take the advantages of the opportunities and chances of being university students. They must work hard to develop their competency both in terms of their profession and in terms of citizenship and humanistic values. Because our country and humanity need new generations, who are able to combine their professional knowledge and skills with national, moral and humanistic values.

I believe that our academic and administrative staff and students will always act with this awareness and understanding in the future as they have done so far.
